Church emblem
On our website regularly occurs the church emblem. There is more than just one way of interpreting the symbol. At the time, the following four points are most important to us:
The cross
The first thing attracting attention is the cross, which is formed by the arrows. The church is the church of Christ and at its center is the message of the cross. Paul does not want to have anything else preached among the Christians in Corinth except the risen Lord and Him crucified. (Cor.2,2)
The arrows
The arrows show the fact that we as members of a body belong to each other because of Christ. Only he is the reason why people come together and are called “Christian church”.
(Eph. 2,21)
The movement
At Church people come together. These people are different from each other in many ways, e.g. age, origin, tradition and even convictions. However, this does not prevent them from meeting at the center. (Gal.3,28)
The invitation
The emblem with its arrows also symbolizes an invitation. Everyone is invited to join the church. We Christians invite all people because God is the creator of all men and because he wants to have a meaningful relationship with all his creatures. Therefore our ultimate goal is not that they just get to know our church building, our programme or church members, but that they get to know our Lord Jesus Christ. (John 1,46)
